What is a Contract Addendum?
A Contract Addendum is a legal document used to amend or alter an existing agreement. The existing agreement is still valid, but a Contract Addendum creates one or more changes to the original document.
A Contract Addendum is also known as a:
- Contract Amendment
- Amending Agreement
How many times can I amend a contract using an Contract Addendum?
There is no limit in law to the number of times a contract can be amended.
However, a LawDepot Contract Addendum allows you to make amendments to a contract on five separate occasions which should deal with almost all potential situations. If additional amendments are needed after the fifth amendment, then an entirely new contract should be executed.
