Purchasing

I have not yet purchased a license

Q: How do I purchase a document?

A: From the Questions Page of a contract, click on "View Results" to see the Preview Page. Purchasing options are listed under the "Buy Licenses" menu on the left.

Q: I don't see a price for the contract I'm looking at. How much does it cost?

A: On the contract's Questions Page click on "View Results". Move the mouse over one of the purchasing options on the left to get a description and a price.

Q: What is the difference between a Single Use License and a Multiple Use License?

A: A Single Use License entitles you to one use of a particular automated contract. You are allowed to go back to the Questions Page to refine your answers for two weeks.

A Multiple Use License entitles you to unlimited use of a particular automated contract for an entire year.

Q: If I purchase a Subscription, am I locked in?

A: No: Subscriptions give you access for 3 months at a time and renew every 3 months. You can cancel the automatic renewals at any time. 3 months after the last payment, your license will expire and your card will not be charged again. Simply click on the "Subscriptions" tab on the "My Account" page and follow the instructions.

Q: How do I cancel a subscription?

A: Go to the "My Account" page and sign in if you are not already signed in. Click on the "Subscriptions" tab, then click on "Active Subscriptions" to see a list of your subscriptions. Click on the "Cancel" button next to the subscription you want to cancel. The subscription will expire when the charge period has ended.

Q: What does an Accuracy Review do?

A: Our experienced professionals will review your answers and choices for completeness, spelling, internal consistency and grammar. Currently, this review only covers information you type into the question page, not any changes you make using the "Edit Words" feature. We will forward your reviewed document in html format within 2 business days after receipt of payment.

Q: I don't like giving my credit card over the Internet. Is there another way to purchase (bank draft, money order, etc.)?

A: A secure order form is actually safer than using the telephone. Over the phone, anyone could listen in and write down your credit card number as you say it. On a secure order form such as ours, the information travelling between your computer and our server is encrypted, meaning that anybody listening in will only see garbled data.

I have purchased a license

Q: Do I have to print out the order confirmation page?

A: It is probably a good idea for future reference. Most importantly, please make a note of your order number, which starts with "LWS", so that we can easily refer to your order if you need to email us a question.

Q: I need to change my answers. Do I need to purchase another license?

A: No. As long as you still have a valid license, make sure you are signed in, then go to the Questions Page for your contract, change your answers, then click on "View Results". You can get to the Questions Page by browsing to your contract from the Document Center or by clicking on "Change Answers" from the Preview Page.

Saving

Q: How do I save my work?

A: When you are signed in, the information you type in is saved to our secure database. If you want to save a specific set of answers for future use, use the "Save Answers" option in the Document Options menu of the Preview Page. You can also save the generated contract using "Save Document", although this does not let you come back to our site to make changes.

Q: How do I save my answers?

A: Click on the "Save Answers" link on the Preview Page. This will save the answers you typed in to a file. Remember where you saved the file for later reference. The file you save will contain a "Restore Saved Answers Now" link that will bring you back to the Question Page for that document on our website.

Q: How do I save my document?

A: You can save a copy of the document as an HTML file by clicking on "Save Document". Remember where you saved the file for later reference. Note that if you want to make changes, you'll have to come back to our site: this saved file will not give you the ability to alter your answers.

Printing

Legal concerns when printing

Q: How can I make sure the document prints out in a legally acceptable way?

A: You must make sure that the signature appears all on one page with some part of the document showing at the top by changing the size of the margins in your browser's Print Setup and doing a Print Preview. The signature section includes the date the agreement is signed.

My document prints but doesn't look right

Q: The name of your website appears on the prinout. How can I remove that?

A: By default, your browser inserts the name of the website you are printing. To remove the header and footer, click on the "File" menu, then "Page Setup" and clear the "Header" and "Footer" sections.

For longer documents, you may want to print with page numbers on each page. In Internet Explorer, use the following header to print out page numbers at the top right corner of the page.&bPage &p of &P

In other browsers, select "Page # of #" from the drop-down box in the page setup.

Q: The signature area is cut between pages at an inappropriate position. How do I make sure the signature section appears on one page?

A: Clicking on File, then Page Setup, you can adjust the size of the margins to change the layout of the document. For instance, if one of the signatures appears on its own page, you can make it appear with the rest of the signatures by decreasing the size of the margins slightly. Use Print Preview to verify how the document will print.

Q: I am printing a short document but it prints out onto two pages. How do I fix this?

A: Some contracts have forced page breaks at certain points. Depending on your answers, you may have a contract with a very short first page. You can enhance the look of such a contract by increasing the margin sizes.

Other contracts are designed to fit onto one page. If your margin sizes are set too large, the contract may be pushed onto two pages. In this case, decrease the margin sizes.

In Internet Explorer, you can click on the "File" menu, then "Page Setup" You can decrease the size of the top, bottom, left, and right margins to make your document print out all on one page.

Q: There is text missing on the right hand side. How do I fix this?

A: This is because the margins sizes your browser is using are too large. Try decreasing the size of the left and right margins (0.5" per side should do). In Internet Explorer, the margin sizes can be changed by going to the "Page Setup" option in the "File" menu.

Q: On the screen, my contract has shading in some parts, but it is gone when I print. How do I get the shading to print?

A: You must tell your browser to print background colors. In Internet Explorer, select "Tools" from the browser menu. Select "Internet Options". Click on the "Advanced" tab. Under "Printing", click in the "Print Background Colors and Images" box. Background images and colors will now print.

Q: I can't print because I have problems with my printer / my computer locks up / etc. Can you send me a copy?

A: You have access to your information from any computer as long as you sign in. If your computer is unstable or your printer isn't working properly, you can sign in on another computer and have access to your contract.

My document will not print

Q: My computer crashes or locks up when I try to print. How I fix this?

A: Usually, rebooting (restarting) your computer will fix this.

Q: My contract does not print as I expected it to / My contract does not print. What can I do?

A: Try this: from the file menu, select "Print Preview". If you are able to see the document in print preview, but printing does not work, you are probably experiencing trouble with your printer. You may want to consult your printer manufacturer's documentation or help.

Other web browsers does not support this feature (if you are using AOL 8.0, you will need to use Internet Explorer rather than the default AOL browser).
